Uploading Documents¶
GeoNode allows you to upload and share a wide variety of documents that support geospatial data — such as reports, spreadsheets, presentations, images, and more. These can help give context or supplementary detail to datasets, maps, and layers.

Step 1: Open the Upload Page¶

From the Homepage, click the Documents tab.

Then click the New button to start uploading a new document.

You can also upload documents from the All Resources page via Add Resource → Upload document.
Step 2: Select & Upload the File¶

On the Document Upload page, click Select files....

Navigate to your document (e.g. the README in the Doc folder).

Click Upload.

Step 3: View & Manage the Document¶
Once uploaded, click View to open the Document Detail page. Here, you can:
- Edit metadata
- Share the link
- Download the file
- Delete or replace it
