First Log In & Setting Your Password¶
Accessing the Homepage¶
To begin using your hosted GeoServer product, go to the Hosted Products section of the GSH Dashboard. From there, click the Product Name you selected during setup.
You can also access your instance directly using its unique URL, which is listed on the Product Details page in the dashboard.
Logging In¶
To configure data or manage server settings, you’ll need to log in to the GeoServer admin interface using the credentials generated on the GSH Dashboard.
From the GeoServer Homepage, click Login in the top-right corner. Enter your Username (admin) and the Password copied from the dashboard. Click Login to continue.
Once logged in, the Homepage will expand to display administrative options, accessible through the menu on the left side of the screen.
Changing Your Password¶
After your first login, it's recommended that you change the default password to help keep your product secure.
Open the Users, Groups, Roles page found under the Security section in the left-hand menu. Under the User Group Services section, select the default group. Navigate to the Users tab, and select admin from the users list.
On the Edit User page, enter your new password in both the password and confirmation fields, and click Save to apply the change.
