Accessing GeoSight¶
To begin using your GeoSight, go to the Hosted Products section of the GSH Dashboard. From there, click the Product Name you selected during setup.
You can also access GeoSight directly using the unique URL, which is listed on the Product Details page in the dashboard.
GeoSight Home Page¶
After accessing your GeoSight instance, you’ll land on the Home Page, which serves as your central hub for accessing dashboards, managing projects, and navigating the platform.
From here, you can quickly view available projects, access shared resources, and manage your account settings.
The home page includes:
-
Banner
Displays the GeoSight header and provides quick access to navigation elements, including the home link.
-
Project Gallery
A collection of projects (dashboards) available to you. These may include your own projects, shared projects, or publicly available dashboards.
-
Projects
Each project is presented with a thumbnail, title, and short description to help you quickly understand its purpose. You can scroll within a project card if the description is longer.
-
Admin / User Menu
Access your account settings, login/logout options, and administrative tools (depending on your permissions).
Logging In¶
To access your GeoSight instance, you'll first need to log in using the credentials generated on the GSH Dashboard. From the GeoSight Home Page, click Login in the top-right corner. Enter your Username (admin) and the Password copied from the dashboard. Click Login to proceed.
After logging in, you'll be redirected back to the Home Page, and you’ll now see Admin panel in the top navigation bar, instead of the Login option.
Accessing the Administrator Page¶
The Administrator Page is your starting point for creating and managing content in GeoSight. It allows you to manage data, create projects (dashboards), and control user access. To open it, click Admin panel.
You have full control over any data, projects, or layers that you own. Editable items are highlighted in blue text (while non-editable items appear in black).
