Home Page

When first accessing the SAEOSS-Portal, the home page is displayed. From the home page, users are able to create an account, login, or view public metadata.

Users are able to view any public metadata on the platform without the need to log in. Without an account, users are not able to be affiliated with any organization or group and will not be able to see any private data of that group or receive any notifications from the platform.

Navigation

From the home page, there are many ways to navigate to various pages on the platform. These navigational links can be summarized into the following:

Home Page		By clicking on the SANSA logo from anywhere on the platform, the home page will be displayed.
Login / Sign-Up		By selecting the login / sign-up button in the top right corner, users can log in or create an account.
Social Media Links		Various social media pages for SANSA can be accessed through the social media links on the left.
Navigation bar / Nav links / Nav cards		The navigation bar allows for easy access to all main pages of the platform.

Crisp Interface

Note: This interface sends emails to the administrator and might yield a long turnaround time.

The crisp chat interface allows you to directly contact administrators of the platform should you need assistance with a problem not listed in the documentation.

Home Page User Manual (After Login)

After logging in, users can go to the home page, by clicking on the home option available in the navigation offering a range of features to enhance their experience. Here is a guide to the options available:

1. Profile Icon with Username: Located at the top of the page, the profile icon displays the user's username. Click on the profile icon to reveal additional options.

1. Explore Map Link: Access the interactive map viewer to explore metadata visually. Discover geographic data displayed on the map, providing a visual representation of available metadata records. Interact with the map interface to gain insights into spatial information for better project planning. Click on the link or the arrow to go to the Explore Map page.

   

2. Search Link: Use the search functionality to filter through a vast library of public records. Apply different filter types to efficiently find the exact data needed for your projects. Accelerate your data discovery process with powerful and customizable search capabilities. Click on the link or the arrow to go to the Metadata page and search.

   

3. Metadata Browser Link: Explore the comprehensive metadata repository through the Metadata Browser link. Access detailed information about data resources, enabling informed decision-making. Navigate through well-organised metadata, serving as your gateway to valuable and structured data. Click on the link or the arrow to go to the Metadata page.
