Kartoza and BGEO have built a partnership centred on Giswater, the open source platform for integrated water cycle management. BGEO provides the deep domain expertise in water supply, sewerage, and urban drainage, while Kartoza delivers the cloud infrastructure, GIS engineering, and support services that bring the platform to utilities worldwide. Together, we help water utilities across Spain, Portugal, Latin America, Africa, and beyond take control of their network assets and operational data, with a system that is affordable, practical,and built entirely on open-source technology.

What BGEO Does

BGEO is a knowledge-driven open-source GIS and water solutions company based in Granollers, Barcelona. Founded by water and GIS engineers, BGEO develops and maintains Giswater, the open-source platform connecting GIS, hydraulic models, and spatial databases for water network management. BGEO is ISO 9001 certified and a co-founder of the Giswater Association, which coordinates the global open-source community around the platform.

With clients across Spain, Portugal, Latin America, and Africa, BGEO brings deep domain expertise in water supply, sewerage, urban drainage, and municipal GIS, combined with a commitment to open-source technology that removes barriers to entry for utilities of all sizes.

• Data Migration: BGEO’s team migrates your existing network records into the Giswater schema — cleaning,validating, and structuring data for immediate operational use.
• Training: Access BGEO’s comprehensive online Moodle training library. We supplement this with tailored remote training for your team’s specific workflows.
