Overview

GEEST (Gender Enabling Environments Spatial Tool), formerly known as Geo3E, was built by Kartoza for The World Bank to implement the Geospatial Women’s Employment Analytical Framework (GeoWEAF). The tool identifies location-specific factors that affect women’s access to jobs, supporting evidence-based policy development.

The plugin analyses 15 spatially varying factors across three main dimensions:

Installation

  1. Open QGIS and go to Plugins → Manage and Install Plugins
  2. Search for “GEEST”
  3. Click Install Plugin
  4. Access the analysis tools from your QGIS toolbar
