Moloko is a Junior DevOps Engineer who brings a unique combination of geospatial technology knowledge and infrastructure skills. As an early-career geospatial technologist, he bridges the gap between GIS applications and the systems that run them.

His experience with geospatial infrastructure components - GeoNode, GeoServer, and PostGIS - gives him specialized knowledge that’s particularly valuable at Kartoza. Understanding these technologies from both an application and infrastructure perspective enables more effective deployment and management.

Moloko’s modern DevOps skills include Docker containerization, Terraform infrastructure-as-code, and Kubernetes orchestration. This toolset represents the current state of the art in infrastructure management and positions him well for future growth.

His experience spans multiple cloud platforms including AWS, DigitalOcean, and Hetzner, giving him flexibility to work with whatever hosting solution best fits a project’s needs. This multi-cloud experience is increasingly valuable as organisations adopt hybrid strategies.
